Steve Wirth is a nationally recognized EMS and mobile healthcare consultant with over 50 years of experience in public safety. As one of the first paramedics in central Pennsylvania, Steve has served in nearly every EMS role—from first responder and flight paramedic to EMS executive. His unique blend of frontline, leadership, and legal experience allows him to provide practical, business-focused guidance to EMS organizations nationwide.
A dynamic speaker and respected author, Steve regularly presents at national conferences and contributes to JEMS, EMS1, EMS World, and EMS Insider. He co-authored widely used EMS compliance manuals and serves as an adjunct professor for the University of Pittsburgh EMS program.
Steve is a past Chair of the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) and serves on several national and state EMS boards. He is also an active participant in the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride. In 2013, Steve received the prestigious James O. Page Leadership Award for his contributions to the EMS profession.
